We love working with The Coffee Gardens in Uganda. They're not just about great coffee, but also about doing things the right way. Since 2017, they’ve been building something special: a project that connects farmers and drinkers more directly, supports local communities, and produces seriously good coffee.
This lot comes from 60 smallholder farmers who grow their coffee high up the mountain and bring it down to the Coffee Gardens washing station by hand, literally. They get rewarded for quality and effort, with higher prices, post-season bonuses, and ongoing training from Coffee Gardens agronomists.
The team pays well above local market rates and is totally transparent about how it works with farmers. It’s not just about the cup, It’s about supporting sustainable livelihoods, protecting the environment, and making sure great coffee can keep growing.
